How are things going on? We will see all the films and choose the program for the next festival from them. Please do not expect our message about this decision before December 15th, 2025

Rules

Please note: We can not pay screening fees!
By submitting your application, you agree not to charge any license fees or other fees for the submitted films from the kontrast festival, either now or in the future.

If the individual who submits the film (hereafter referred to as submittant) is not the copyright holder, he/she asserts that he/she is entitled to submit the film to the festival.

Each entrant declares to be the author or rights owner of the submitted film(s) including all the literary, dramatic, musical rights as well as the rights of any third party guaranteeing the Kontrast Festival against any claims, conflicts or legal action concerning the presentation of the film.

The festival is organized and maintained by Bayreuther Filmfest e.V. The application, including a download link to the video file or DVD copy, must be submitted by September 1st, 2025.

• Movies can not be longer than 30 minutes.
• All video and film formats except DC, 35mm films, DVD and Blu-ray can be shown.
• We prefer German versions or original works that have German subtitles. If these are not available, we will also consider English-language versions or original versions with English subtitles.
• Date of production doesn’t matter.
